Local, licensed, and dedicated to quality.
Buckeye Chimney and Dryer Vent Inc has been helping Hempstead homeowners keep their chimneys safe and efficient for years. We know how frustrating it is to get hit with surprise chimney repair bills after ignoring small problems. That’s why we focus on honest, upfront pricing, no hidden fees, no upselling for services you don’t need. Whether you’re dealing with a creosote buildup that’s making your fireplace smoke back into the room or a dryer vent that’s costing you money in wasted energy, we’ll give you a clear plan to fix it right. Our team treats your home like it’s ours, which means no overcharging for basic sweeps or inspections. You’ll get the work done properly, the first time, without paying for extra fluff.
What sets us apart in Hempstead isn’t just our fair pricing, it’s how we explain the problems you’re actually facing. Too many chimney companies throw around terms like ‘Stage 2 creosote’ or ‘flue blockage’ without telling you what it means for your safety or your wallet. We cut through the jargon and show you exactly why your chimney is acting up, whether it’s from last winter’s heavy use, a cracked liner you’ve been ignoring, or a vent that’s clogged from years of lint buildup. Our inspections aren’t just a checkbox; they’re a chance to catch issues before they turn into costly repairs. And if we find something serious, we’ll tell you straight up, no pressure to book a service you don’t need.
Hempstead’s older homes and tight spaces make chimney work trickier than in newer developments, but that’s where our experience pays off. We’ve climbed chimneys in every style of home in Nassau County, from mid-century ranches with single-wall flues to colonials with multiple fireplaces. Our crew knows how to spot trouble before it starts, like a deteriorating damper that’s letting cold air in, or a vent that’s too narrow for your fireplace’s output. We also handle dryer vent cleaning, which is often overlooked until your dryer takes forever to dry clothes or you notice a burning smell. The best part? You’ll get a written estimate before we start, so you’re never surprised by the bill. That’s how you avoid overpaying, and how you keep your home running safely for years to come.
Other chimney sweeps in Hempstead charge by the hour or hit you with ‘discovery fees’ for minor repairs. We price our sweeps by the job, not the clock, and we only recommend work that’s truly needed. No upsells, no hidden costs. If another company quotes you $250 for a sweep, ask why, and then call us. We’ll match or beat their price for the same service, guaranteed.
A small crack in your chimney liner can turn into a $1,000 repair if ignored. We use video inspections to find these issues early, so you fix them when it’s cheap, not when your fireplace stops working. In neighborhoods like Valley Stream or West Hempstead, where older homes have settled over time, these hidden damages are common. We’ll tell you exactly what’s wrong and how to fix it, without pushing for overkill.
Some companies rush through a sweep to save time. We don’t. Our rotary brushes and high-powered vacuums remove creosote down to the flue, so your chimney stays clean longer. In Hempstead’s humid climate, that means fewer sweeps per year, and fewer surprises when you light your fire. We’ve had customers near the LIRR station swear their chimneys stay cleaner between visits because we don’t just scrape the surface.
Some companies offer ‘free’ inspections, then hit you with a $500 repair quote. Ours are free too, but we only recommend work that’s actually needed. If your chimney’s fine, you walk away with a clean bill of health. No pressure, no hard sell. It’s how we’ve earned trust in Hempstead for years. And if we do find a problem, we’ll explain your options in plain English, not industry jargon.
